On December 2nd participants from the Mexico-Netherlands Strategic Programme for Energy Executives Training (EET), together with Dutch ambassador Margriet Leemhuis, gathered for an evaluation moment of the trajectory that took the participants from a workshop in Mexico to an internship in The Netherlands.

EET is an exchange programme for Mexican managers working in the energy sector. The programme combines a training with a 2 week internship at a Dutch company.

The programme aims to create business opportunities between Mexican parties and Dutch companies. Through the programme, Mexican managers working in the energy sector will gain an increased understanding of how to do business internationally. At the same time, they will gain knowledge on how to strengthen their skills to successfully develop economic relations with Dutch partners.

The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO.nl) is in charge of the organisation and implementation of the programme for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Netherlands. The programme is part of a Memorandum of Understanding on Energy between Mexico and the Netherlands.

After words of thank to the organizers of the programme, led by Regional Energy Envoy Simone Landhuis and GGNI's Volko De Jong, 9 participants announced to join the Dutch Energy Association as members. Key part of the decision to join the Dutch Energy Association is to maintain continuity in Mexican-Dutch relations after the programme ended for the participants.
